Such an inocent chidhood picture of two friends and thier kites. Who would have knonw that in just a few years one of you would be gone.

Being a Vietnam Vet mayself and the same age as Conn. I wanted to post what I found on Conn from the Vietnam Vet memorail site:

I served with "Cod" (that is what we called him) in the 3rd BCT Bde at Fort Ord in 1970. It was the last week of December 1970, that I bumped into him at the Jr Officers Club. We talked about how he had his orders and was leaving for his 30 day leave. I really liked him. He was a good guy. RIP.
