Update
I've just finished a couple of new shows for Square America, the first is called What Was Next- a small show focusing on the oblique narratives created by contact strips and composite prints.

The second is called On the Street which features a selection of photos taken by itinerant photographers in the 30s-50s who would roam the streets of big cities and tourist destinations snapping candid photos of people walking down the street which they would then try to sell to the person. The photos are often blurry, the prints almost always atrocious but they still give a fascinating glimpse of what streetlife was like during that era.

This will be part of the Some Places show which I've mentioned here before- you might notice the Some Other Places link on those pages isn't active yet but it should be shortly. Also the Down By The Tracks show is finished (though like the street show the Other Places link isn't operative yet. You might also notice that none of the shows are accessible through the main page as of yet- they're all part of my second anniversary show which I'll link up to the main site as soon as it's done. All of the new shows are done in a slideshow style format with thumbnails for navigation down on the bottom of the page. I'm not sure I'm going to be sticking with this format- these shows plus 2-3 others that I'm in the process of putting together will be but as for future shows I'm not so sure. The thumbnails make it a pain in the ass for me to change/update the show meaning once they're done, they're done unlike my other shows which I can update very easily. More importantly I'm kind of torn with regard to the size factor- I like having the scans bigger but I think they're perhaps a bit too big causing them to lose some of their intimate "snapshot" quality. Then again looking at pictures on a computer screen is hardly intimate to begin with so maybe it's not really an issue-we shall see.
