Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas Happy Hannukhah Happy New Year!!

Hey everybody- I've added one last heap of Christmas photos to The Square America Christmas Spectacular. I'm headed out of town for next week or so and won't be able to post here so I'll take this opportunity to wish everyone a very merry Christmas, Happy Hannukhah, and a happy New Year! I'll be back soon but in the meantime here's a slew of new Christmas pics for your holiday enjoyment!

Levirn Leslie Killed with Hay Fork

I find this photo pretty unsettling- the scrawled writing makes it seem as if the photo was a souvenir kept by a murderer.

Up on the Roof

I'll eventually be adding a larger series of these -mostly from the 30s & 40s- to Square America. It seems by the 60s (maybe because of air conditioning) people weren't spending nearly as much time up there. I'll probably be pairing it with photos of people standing by railroad tracks- another common photographic trope that seemed to lose its appeal in the 1950s as the car replaced the train as the most common means of long distance travel.

What Was On 2

I just added these photos (as well as yesterday's photos) to a new show in The Pocket Galleries, my space for smaller shows over at Square America. There are 13 photos altogether- all taken by the same photographer who seemed to be a bit obsessed with women on TV.
